ACT Prep
The ACT is accepted by all US colleges and is often preferred by students who are strong readers and comfortable with a more linear test structure. The ACT launched its Enhanced Format in 2026 — the core test now covers English, Math, and Reading in 125 minutes, with Science becoming optional. Our ACT coaching for Indian students covers the full Enhanced format, including the optional Science section for engineering and pre-med applicants. Available online for students across India.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Enhanced ACT?
The Enhanced ACT is the newer, updated version of the ACT test, with revised sections and pacing. UniQuest Prep’s coaching and practice materials are built specifically around this updated format.
Should I take the Enhanced ACT or the Digital SAT?
Both are accepted by most US universities. The right choice depends on your strengths — book a free session and we’ll help you decide based on a diagnostic test.
Does the ACT Science section affect my composite score?
No. In the Enhanced ACT format, Science is optional and does not count toward your composite score. Your composite is calculated from English, Math, and Reading only. However, we recommend taking Science: it costs $4 extra, takes 35 minutes, and keeps options open for universities like Georgetown and Boston University that still expect it. Engineering and pre-med applicants should take it for the STEM score signal.
Can Indian-American students in the US take ACT coaching online?
Yes. All ACT coaching at UniQuest Prep is fully online via Zoom, available to students across the US. Sessions are scheduled flexibly around your school schedule and US time zones.
What is a good ACT score for top US universities?
For highly selective schools (Ivy League, MIT, Stanford), a 34–36 composite is ideal. For strong universities, 30–33 is competitive. Nisha Bajpai’s students have achieved composite scores as high as 35 through targeted 1-on-1 coaching.
How is the ACT different from the SAT?
The ACT has 4 sections: English, Math, Reading, and Science (now optional), plus an optional Writing test. The SAT has 2 sections: Reading & Writing and Math. The ACT is linear; the SAT is section-adaptive. ACT scores out of 36; SAT scores out of 1600.
How long does ACT preparation take?
Most students prepare for 8–16 weeks with dedicated practice. Students aiming for 33+ from a lower starting point typically benefit from 12–16 weeks of structured coaching.
